Blood test

Today, hubby and I went to a laboratory hospital to have my blood work done as recommended by my OB-GYN when I had my pre conception counselling the other day. I had my blood checked for my progesterone level since I had my first miscarriage last year in November. I had just some worries that if I get pregnant again I might experience the same thing because my friend back in the Philippines had experienced 3 consecutive miscarriages and I don't want to happen this to me before I found out what's going on. I also knew someone who had miscarriages every year in six years before finding out that the reason for her to have such miscarriages was because her progesterone level was so low during her pregnancy that's why her fetus did not develop fully and only lasted 4-6 weeks in her womb. When her OB GYN found out that her problem was her progesterone level she started medication for her to produce enough progesterone during her entire pregnancy and finally she was able to deliver a healthy baby. Hopefully, my blood work will be fine and my progesterone level will be normal too. Will be able to know the result by next week.

Spoof Email

I have mentioned in my blog before that hubby got several fake paypal emails and today I got one too. It said that my Paypal ID had been suspended and this is the same email that Princess posted in her blog. You might as well check her blog as she posted the detailed fake paypal email that she got. Warning to everyone if in case you received an email that appears to be suspecious never, never click the link that is in that email because these fraud emails come from those people who will try to steal your identity and personal informations even your password, credit card numbers you type online and any activities you do online.

How do we recognize that it is fake paypal emails?

1. They start with the greeting "Dear Paypal Member"
2. If it states that your account has been suspended, unauthorized transactions had occured, unconfirmed paypal transaction or paypal is updating it's account and needs your personal information.
3. If it asks for your personal information through an email. Paypal never asks for your personal info in an email.
4. If you see an @ or © sign in the middle of the URL, the one I got had the © in the middle of the sender's address.
5. Spoof emails usually contains incorrect spellings and grammars.
6. If the paypal url site is not https the "s" stands for secure. The https should preceed the website address when you enter your personal information. If it doesn't have the "s" that means you are not in a secure website so never enter your personal information.
7. Fake emails usually use attachments so never click it because the attachments might download virus into your computer and besides Paypal never email you an attachment.

If you receive a fake or spoof paypal email you may forward the entire email to spoof@paypal.com then delete that email from your inbox and trash folder. If you want to log in to your paypal account open a new browser and type https://www.paypal.com/

Sunny Tuesday

We had a good sunny weather Tuesday. I hope it will continue to be that way during the day and I am hoping that winter will soon be over. I tell you, I love to see the snow but I don't like the cold. It makes my body shrink and sometimes I have a hard time breathing because of the shivering cold. Although it's been sunny today, the wind is still a little bit colder to me so I had to wear 2 sweat shirts all the time and had my long johns underneath my jeans. I remember last year I still wear long sleeve shirts even if it was summertime because I still felt cold. Hmmmm, I wonder how it's gonna be this year's summertime? Oh geese, I miss the weather in the Philippines.

Slow connection

Hmmmm, I'm wondering why my laptop is running so slow. Is it my internet provider or just my laptop. It takes a while for me to be able to view a certain page or website and sometimes some of these pages I am viewing just disappear on the screen. Is it because I have opened too many windows and so many websites? I wonder what's going on with my laptop. Sometimes I get too impatient waiting for the page to pull out because it is taking so long. Earlier I did some deletion of programs that I installed before but havn't used them anymore. I hope this would help speed up the loading. They say that if you have too much programs installed in your computer that would slow down it down. I don't know if that's true or not coz I am not a computer genius, am even dumb when it comes to computer terminologies.

Cutting off expenses

Hubby and I have been trying to figure out how we could save more money after each paycheck. We agreed together to cut off our expenses and decided to cut off our Cable TV subscription since we rarely watch TV. I don't mind if we don't have cable TV because I don't really spend time watching TV. So, hubby called Bresnan Communications which is our Cable TV, Telephone and Internet provider to cancell our Cable subscription and guess how much we saved for our monthly bills? $80 dollars which we normally pay $159.00 every month for the three services cable,phone and internet. Starting this month we only have to pay $79.00 for phone and internet bills and that's a great savings. Hubby is a member of Blockbuster which he can rent 3 DVD movies at a time from blockbuster store and then order another 3 movies online and when he returns the 3 movies to the store another 3 movies will be mailed to us in a couple of days. He decided to cancell his blockbuster membership also and saved $25.00 every month for that.

Living here in the US is not that easy as one might think. While I was in the Philippines, I am like those Filipinos who thought that when you are in the US you are rich but that changed when I finally came here. You have to work hard to be able to pay off all your bills, everything cost a lot. If you want to maintain your lifestyle you have to really, really work harder and find ways to earn more so you could save money for the future.

Great to be back home

It feels great to be back home after a long trip to Idaho. Hubby and I were so tired as we drove 8 hours each way going to Idaho and back to Colorado. We came home yesterday at around 3:30 in the afternoon. We're glad we had a safe trip inspite of the snow storm we encountered while driving towards Price, Colorado. The weather turned out good as we drove back home. One thing that I really forgot is to bring my camera, I missed taking pictures of the beautiful views as we drove. Hmmm, next time I have to put my camera in my purse so I won't miss taking it with me.

Trip to Idaho.....

Hubby and I are on our way to Rexburg, Idaho to pick his daughter up. We drove as far as Price, Colorado which is about a hundred miles or so from Grand Junction. It started to snow as we entered Price, we stop by a convenience store to get to the bathroom and somehow be able to stretch our legs. Hubby asked the saleslady if they knew what the weather is like and how the road would be like ahead going to Salt Lake, Utah and they said that the road was closed because of the heavy snow but will be opened by tomorrow as the plowmen clears the highway. So, hubby and I decided to stay at a nearby hotel. I am glad this hotel has a wireless connection and I'm able to get online right now. Hopefully the road will be opened tomorrow so we could go ahead with our trip and get to Idaho by noon time. It's gonna be a long trip for sure. Hmmm, this is an unexpected trip but I like it though coz hubby and I would be able to spend Valentine's Day together.

Long day.......

It's been a long day for hubby and me. It's hubby's day off today, it's supposed to be his time to relax but we both end up getting so busy moving some furnitures into the house and setting them up. My body is aching and I am so tired as I helped hubby moved some furnitures. Well, hubby have exerted more effort than me for sure and I know he was more tired because he went to bed ahead of me. I told him that I still need to finish writing my blog and he understood it. I guess I better get going, I don't want hubby to be alone sleeping. Good night peeps!
