When does Summer start?

I was wondering if it's already summer here in the US since the weather has been so warm and hot and most of the students are already off school but when does summer really start?

summer solstice

Summer officially begins this year on the summer solstice: June 21st at 7:26 AM EST.
In the Northern Hemisphere, the longest day of the year and the shortest night of the year is when the Sun is farthest north, marking the beginning of summer.

Solstice comes from the Latin (sol, sun; sistit, stands). At the solstices, the sun's apparent position on the celestial sphere reaches its greatest distance above or below the celestial equator, about 23 1/2° of arc. The summer solstice marks the first day of the season of summer. The declination of the Sun on the (northern) summer solstice is known as the Tropic of Cancer (23° 27'). The summer solstice is the longest day of the year, respectively, in the sense that the length of time elapsed between sunrise and sunset on this day is a maximum for the year.

I'm Back Blogging...

Just got back blogging after taking a short break. Just tried to rest my brain from blogging. Ha,ha, maybe because I was just lazy these past few days that I didn't want to write or think to update my blogs. Another thing I guess is that triple P had been so elusive to me for the past weeks that I wasn't able to grab any Opp's that why I was also lazy posting any blogs. Just only yesterday that I was able to grab some from Triple P which motivated me to get back online and update my blogs.

I'm thankful for my blogger friends who keep visiting my page for the past few days. I do appreciate it a lot. Will make up and get back to you then. I know I have a lot of tags pending and have to do them also.

Check Black Friday Ads 2008

Have you experienced shopping on the day after Thanskgiving? I had my first time experience last year, T’was the day after Thanksgiving which they call it Black Friday, where most of the stores and malls were on their biggest sale of the year. I remember we woke up as early as 3 am to be able to get early and fall in line to Best Buy since they opened at 5 am just to be able to avail of the products they sell at the very low price ever. When we get there, people were already lined up. It was cold and chilly, my step daughter even said she would never do it again. Ha,ha,… I was pretty excited though coz it was my first time and I could say it was really the best time to shop coz everything was on sale. We shop from one store to another and was able to get the best deals. It was tiring after we got done and was also sleepy.

I’m looking forward to do it again this coming Black Friday but don’t have to wait ‘till November to find out what products will be on sale in my favorite stores because www.black-friday.net can show the black Friday ads for 2008. If you check their website it will show you the lists of stores’ black Friday ads for 2008 like Walmart ad, Best Buy, Target, Home Depot and other stores around the country. Not only this, black-Friday.net also offers direct links of each product so you can buy these products online on Black Friday and don’t need to stand in line as early as 5 am at the store. That's more convenient isn't it? So, check black-friday.net now.

Memorial Day History

Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in US nation's service.

It was officially proclaimed on 5 May 1868 by General John Logan, national commander of the Grand Army of the Republic, in his General Order No. 11, and was first observed on 30 May 1868, when flowers were placed on the graves of Union and Confederate soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery.

The first state to officially recognize the holiday was New York in 1873. By 1890 it was recognized by all of the northern states. The South refused to acknowledge the day, honoring their dead on separate days until after World War I (when the holiday changed from honoring just those who died fighting in the Civil War to honoring Americans who died fighting in any war). It is now celebrated in almost every State on the last Monday in May (passed by Congress with the National Holiday Act of 1971 (P.L. 90 - 363) to ensure a three day weekend for Federal holidays).

Alexa Traffic Rank data is back

I'm glad to see that my Alexa Rank data is now showing up. It had been "no data" for 2 days in a row. I think they just made an update on everyone's traffic rank. Yesterday, it showed up and I'm more glad to see that my Alexa Traffic Rank has increased. I'm hoping to get a traffic rank of less than 1 million so I could get more opps and tasks from those advertisers who offers paid reviews. More specially so, if I get PR...hmmm, just wishing. Hopefully, it will come in the coming months.

"No Data" Alexa Traffic Rank

I was wondering what happend to my Alexa Traffic Rank Widget because it stated "No Data" on it. Yesterday it was still ok, but this morning I just found out that something is wrong with it. I checked my other blog's Alexa widget and they work ok but this one. I thought something is wrong with their website but I think it's only in my Alexa widget in this blog. The last Data on it on my Traffic Rank was 2405860 and now it's "No Data" and I didn't do anything it just appeared that way this morning. Hmmm, confusing... does anybody experience this before?

I hope, it will be ok by tomorrow and hopefully my traffic rank data will reappear and will go up.

Chy's new blog

Just done chatting with Chy, we had a tutorial session about how to create her own blog. She had been wanting to start blogging since last year but was unable to do it because she thought she didn't know how to do it. And so, she finally able to ask some information how to start her own blog. I'm glad I was able to help her and give her some infos. It was fun and exciting to be able to chat and talk with her over the phone because we were "kababayan" and we had met once in Davao during our get together with other Davao girls who had also been petitioned as US Fiancee.

Now, she has started her first post in her blog. Just check Chy's Masterpieces, I just receive a YM from her informing me that she just bought her own domain. Ha,ha, that was quick she has learned right away. Just continue exploring Chy, you will learn more and more. Enjoy blogging and get ready for some sleepless nights. Ha,ha, you'll get addicted for sure.

Elusive Opp

I have been unlucky the past days with catching opps, I think the opps of Triple P have been so elusive to me. Everytime I check for Opp they are all grey and I keep checking every now and then hoping that it would turn yellow for me and be able to grab and reserve atleast one but to no avail.

Today, I tried checking again as usual and was glad to see a white one and so I reserve it right away and got cha! my lucky day.

Happy Mother's Day

No Love like a Mother's Love
There is no love,
like a mother's love,
no stronger bond on earth...
like the precious bond that comes from God,
to a mother, when she gives birth.
A mother's love is forever strong,
never changing for all time...
and when her children need her most,
a mother's love will shine.
God bless these special mothers,
God bless them every one...
for all the tears and heartache,
and for the special work they've done.
When her days on earth are over,
a mother's love lives on...
through many generations,
with God's blessings on each one.
Be thankful for our mothers,
for they love with a higher love...
from the power God has given,
and the strength from up above.
Happy Mother's Day to All the Mothers Around the Globe!!!
